Syd's Thoughts

Everything has been successfully backed up on my spare hard drive just in case anything goes wonky.  I currently have 342 points in this class so far and I am still a little behind. I have been working really hard to try and get that up because I want to make an A so badly in this class!  The blog stream really caught my attention in the announcements and I actually added to the Padlet which was fun! The sleeping baby clip was my favorite because I definitely need to catch up on some sleep myself. I really liked this image because it holds such a powerful message. You can find the image here

I am currently in Denver for a business trip for two weeks, so I have not been able to keep up with my assignments. I have worked 55 hours in the last 4 days. I am going to try my absolute best to get back on track, but I am very worried that I have fallen too far behind schedule.  This picture was from the post about the Easter legend of the dogwood. Easter is one of my favorite holidays because I am a catholic, but I had never heard the legend of the dogwood and how it represents the Crucifixion.  Freud, Jung, Luke Skywalker, and the Psychology of Myth: Crash Course World Mythology #40 - YouTube This link above is the video I chose to watch for this assignment. As a psych major this video really interested me. I think it is neat to see how mythology, psychology, and many other studies all combine about certain topics.

 Image from Course Week Calendar  This was my favorite image because elephants are my favorite animals and I had no idea March 13th was designated to them! I learned something new!  The video I watched was over daylight savings and I thought it was really funny. I love "falling back" but then "springing forward" really hurts my soul knowing I lose an hour of sleep. The concept itself is interesting in why we do it because of the Earth's tilt so that the amount of daylight we have stays somewhat constant. I really liked the video even though it was cheesy!
